Building a Block for your week

A Block is a week of workout slots with no weekdays attached. Build it once, then start any slot on any day, in any order.

Step 1. Open your Blocks

Open the Workout tab. This week sits at the top, and until a Block feeds it there is one card there: Build your first Block. Tap Create block.

The library opens on Your Blocks. Everything you build stays here, with the active one pinned to the top. The plus in the header starts another, and the ? beside it explains what a Block is.

Step 2. Pick how it gets built

A sheet asks how you want to build it. Build it yourself hands you an empty form. Ask Bolt to build it hands the week over.

Bolt asks one question, how many days a week you train, anything from 1 to 7. It reads your training history, writes the whole Block, and drops you back in the library with it built. The rest of this guide takes the manual route.

Building a Block by hand needs at least Lite. Asking Bolt to build one needs Pro, and Free is view-only either way.

Step 3. Name it, then fill the slots

The form opens as New block. Name it, up to 40 characters, and add a description under that if you want one. Leave the name empty and it saves as My block.

Add workout opens the picker. My workouts lists the Custom Workouts you have built; BDYSessions searches the library and filters it by Push, Pull, Legs or Mixed. Tap a row and it becomes a slot.

Step 4. Set the order, then save

Past one workout the list grows a Reorder control. Hold a card, drag it where you want it, and the new order is kept when you close the sheet.

Save block writes it. The number of workouts becomes the Block's days per week, so three workouts is a three-day week. Seven is the ceiling, and anything past it still counts as seven.

  • Tap a row's name or picture to swap the workout
  • The bin on the right drops a slot
  • Leaving with a draft in the form asks first

Step 5. Make it the active Block

Saving does not start a Block. Tap the three dots on its card and choose Activate. The card takes a green ACTIVE tag and moves to the top of the library.

One Block is active at a time, and it is the one This week runs on the Workout tab. Activate a second and it replaces the first, which stays in your library. A running Cycle pauses instead, and you can resume it later.

  • Rename changes the name and nothing else
  • Archive keeps a Block out of new Cycles
  • Delete leaves your logged workouts intact

Lite keeps 4 Blocks and Pro is unlimited. Archived Blocks still count against that, so delete the ones you are done with.
